LIVE Score is a leading all-in-one sports app in Korea, consistently ranking as the top app in its category on both Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. With over 10M downloads and a loyal base of highly engaged users, the app is the go-to destination for sports fans, delivering real-time scores, detailed statistics, and in-depth analysis across a wide range of sports, including soccer, baseball, basketball, and esports.

Goal

With eCPMs plateauing across existing monetization partners, LIVE Score sought to unlock new monetization streams while maintaining a seamless user experience. The team was drawn to the DT Exchange for its diverse and premium demand sources, as well as a committed, hands-on team.

Strategy

LIVE Score implemented DT Exchange across both Android and iOS from day one of integration, enabling early performance uplift of improved eCPM and clickthrough rates, alongside the rapid scale of new demand. DT’s dashboards, transparency, and granular insights into performance allowed the team to quickly track performance and optimise results.

Working closely with the Digital Turbine Account Team, LIVE Score received personalized bidding recommendations that guided every adjustment. Through tailored strategies that unlocked high-quality demand at different price points, LIVE Score maximised yield from every impression. As they adopted DT’s full-screen video ads into their existing formats—banners, interstitials, and native ads —the eCPM for interstitials increased by 105%.

LIVE Score maintained full control over how ads are displayed, leveraging the custom creative rendering capabilities built into the DT SDK. They were able to customise a 3-second ‘X’ button to ensure high ad quality and a seamless user experience.

By integrating with DT Exchange, LIVE Score increased eCPMs by more than 50% while maintaining strong user retention. This integration not only unlocked immediate revenue growth for LIVE Score but also laid the foundation for future international expansion and global user growth.
