What’s the buzz in mobile this week? Jumpstart your week here:
Netflix. Amazon. Facebook. TikTok. Uber. Everyone knows these apps. And when the leading factor influencing app installs is being a “Trusted Brand”, being known helps!
But that doesn’t mean these companies don’t advertise. Big brands that don’t advertise leave themselves vulnerable. After all, consumer attention can be fickle.
This makes it critical for big brands to stay on top of customer’s minds. In a recent story on VentureBeat, our VP of Customer Success gave 4 strategies to make sure your brand stays as the center of attention:
Just Be There
Staying on top of customer’s minds can be as simple as making sure you stay on their phone. Facebook makes no secret that it’s pre-install strategy helps with customer retention. Digital Turbine customers have found similar success in reducing churn.
Appeal To Emotion
Consumer loyalty has an emotional component. If you care about a brand, it’ll take a lot to get you to switch. It’s why brands will associate themselves with charities and disassociate themselves with certain people (like we’ve seen with Kanye West).
Incentivize
Cross-bundling is a great way to keep your band relevant. UberEats partnered with Hulu that gave a free trial subscription when placing a delivery order. By using other name brands from other categories, you protect against the ebbs and flows of your market.
Entertain
Remember that Super Bowl ad from Budweiser that told the story of the bond between a puppy and a horse? Storytelling can be a great way to keep people interested in your brand - but make sure it doesn’t overshadow your product.
Stay tuned this week as we’ll talk more about Consumer’s Mobile App Habits and Why Your Brand Matters.
